Disney+ to Stream Pixar’s Onward in Canada and USA on April 3

Disney+ has announced it will be streaming Pixar’s Onward in Canada and the U.S. on Friday, April 3, 2020, as confirmed to iPhone in Canada in an email.

The animated adventure film only hit theatres last month on March 6, but has been fast-tracked to digital due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as everyone is social distancing. Onward stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer and has a 95% score on RottenTomatoes.

The movie’s synopsis is below:

Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar’s “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new original feature film is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae—the team behind “Monsters University.”

Onward hit digital services such as iTunes on March 20 in the U.S., and Canada followed later on March 22. Now you can watch the film ‘free’ as part of your Disney+ subscription in Canada.

In other Disney+ news, the streaming service hits France on April 7, while two new documentaries will launch as part of the Disneynature family – Elephant and Dolphin Reef, also coming Friday, April 3.
