If you own an Oculus virtual reality headset, you might be able to sync your fitness data with Apple Health in the future, according to code discovered within the Facebook company’s VR app.

According to Bloomberg, “Facebook Inc. is exploring the idea of letting users synchronize workout data from Oculus virtual-reality headsets with Apple Inc.’s Health app on iPhones, according to code discovered in the Oculus iPhone app.”

The discovery was made by none other than developer Steve Moser, known for his frequent discoveries of future products and features found within iOS apps and more. The Oculus app code mentions the ability to see your VR headset’s workout data that was previously synced to the Apple Health app on iPhone.

The Apple Health app has become a repository for all fitness apps to sync their data to for iPhone users. Apple is apparently working on its own reality headset that may debut in 2022, while future AirPods versions may include health sensors, reports Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
