
Freedom Mobile has launched a new app that helps customers find exclusive Wi-Fi hotspots. The app is called Freedom Wi-Fi and is available on both iOS and Android.
The app displays over 65,000 Shaw Go Wi-Fi hotspots across Western Canada. Beginning today, Freedom Mobile Customers can access the Wi-Fi hotspots for free during their trial period.
In a statement, Freedom Mobile CEO Alek Krstajic said:
“Freedom Wi-Fi leverages the expanse and power of the country’s largest Wi-Fi network, Shaw Go WiFi, to provide our customers with even greater value. Along with the launch of our LTE network, this is giving our customers the freedom to connect and communicate.
We are looking for new ways to give our customers more value and Freedom Wi-Fi does just that.”
As a part of the trial, all Freedom Mobile customers will have free access to Freedom Wi-Fi until March 31, 2017. The app is super easy to use, connecting users automatically when they are within range of a hotspot.
Freedom Wi-Fi is available as a free download from the App Store. The app requires any device running iOS 8.0 or later.
