Global Payments is one of the first providers in Canada (alongside Moneris) to offer merchants Apple Pay support, the company announced today. Since Apple’s mobile payment platform has finally launched in Canada, all eyes are on future partners that will pave the way to the adoption of mobile payments in the country.

As an Apple Pay-qualified payment provider, Global Payments’s suite of payment solutions is fully enabled for Apple Pay acceptance, allowing merchants to utilize the Apple way of paying for goods and services both online and offline.
Besides the aforementioned payment-technology service provider, GlobalOnePay has also partnered up with Apple. GlobalOnePay announced support for Apple Pay in Canada today. The service provider brings to Canada the experience it has gathered while offering Apple Pay in the US and the United Kingdom.
