Latest Google Pixel 3a Leak Teases Reported May 7 Launch Date

Google is expected to announce a mid-range smartphone next month, dubbed the Google Pixel 3a, seen as an upcoming competitor to undercut Apple’s iPhone XR if the price is right.

Leaker Evan Blass shared a new leak of the Google Pixel 3a, offering the best look at this device yet in a digital render. We see a phone with rounded corners, a single camera on the back to go with a fingerprint reader, and what looks like fairly thin bezels.

Ahead of this Pixel 3a launch next month, Google is currently discounting its existing Pixel 3/3XL smartphones by up to $250 off in Canada, now available starting at $749 and $879 CAD respectively. Given the climbing prices of the latest smartphones, Google’s Pixel 3a, if priced correctly, could take sales away from the iPhone XR and Samsung’s S10e.

Google is set to kick off its Google I/O developer conference on May 7, the presumed launch date of the Pixel 3a.
