Alleged China Mobile Presentation Names ‘iPhone XS,’ ‘iPhone XS Plus,’ and ‘iPhone XC’

Apple’s Gather Round event is just a few days from now and we’re still receiving reports of what the cheaper LCD model is going to be called.

A post on Weibo (via Japanese tech blog MacOtakara) shows an alleged slide from an internal Chinese mobile carrier presentation that suggests the 2018 iPhone lineup will include the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Plus, and the iPhone XC.

These model names are a bit more in line with Apple’s traditional naming conventions when compared to previously-reported potential names for the phones, including the odd “iPhone XS Max” and the “iPhone Xr.”

The slide also lists the Chinese prices for the phones, which MacRumors extrapolates to $700 USD for the iPhone XC, $900 for the iPhone XS, and $1,015 for the iPhone XS Plus. It’s important to keep in mind that different regions tend to have different prices depending on import taxes, etc. They don’t usually directly translate to straight exchange rate conversion.

Finally, the slide mentions that a dual-sim version of the “iPhone XS” and “iPhone XS Plus” will be available, but at a later date than the standard models, potentially at some point next year.

In related news, another leak from Benjamin Geskin showed off potential colours for the iPhone XC.
