Nintendo is bringing another tentpole N64 title to its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription service, with Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards up next. This new entry is available to subscribers starting on May 20th.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is Nintendo’s next title to be supported on its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription service. It is also the second last of the originally revealed slate to release, next to Pokémon Snap. We can assume that Pokémon Snap will be revealed to be June’s entry title, rounding out the list that was first revealed when N64 support began.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards first launched in North America on June 26, 2000. It’s the first game in the series to make its transition to 3D graphics. Players control the adorable pink mascot throughout as he reassembles a sacred crystal shattered by Dark Matter.

Nintendo Switch Online’s Expansion Pack subscription offers access to a growing roster of classic Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis titles. An annual subscription is available in Canada for $63.99/year. Each month, Nintendo has been adding a new title to its service, including games like Banjo-Kazooie and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and recently Mario Golf.

It remains to be seen what future support will look like when Pokémon Snap launches on the service. Nintendo may opt to continue providing additional Nintendo 64 titles to the service. Alternatively, much like its support of NES and SNES games, Nintendo has shown a pattern of pivoting to a new console once a certain threshold is hit. Potentially, we could see Nintendo begin supporting titles from its handhelds like Game Boy and Game Boy Advance.
