Listen: Apple’s Siri Gains New American Voice Named ‘Quinn’ in iOS 15.4 Beta 4

With today’s release of iOS 15.4 beta 4 for developers, Apple has debuted a new voice for Siri, for American users.

The fifth voice option for American users is named ‘Quinn’. Listen to how Siri sounds below:

The male voice sounds youthful and is unlike the original Siri voice.

Back in March 2021, Apple announced new Siri voices for English speakers and eliminated its default female voice, as part of iOS 14.5.

“We’re excited to introduce two new Siri voices for English speakers and the option for Siri users to select the voice they want when they set up their device,” said Apple at the time. “This is a continuation of Apple’s long-standing commitment to diversity and inclusion, and products and services that are designed to better reflect the diversity of the world we live in.”

Great decision to introduce a new Siri voice, but I think the majority of Apple users would rather want the voice assistant to catch up to Google and Alexa. Or just to actually understand a command we are asking, for once.
