Surrey Apple Store Opening at Guildford Town Centre in September [u]

We first told you about the upcoming Surrey Apple Store back in May, which was confirmed a couple days later via job postings. The location of the new store was unknown, a toss up between Guildford Town Centre or The Shops at Morgan Crossing.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the retail store will be at Guildford Town Centre, with a possible mid to late September opening, as recently the second phase of the mall’s 200,000 square foot addition is set to be finished at the end of August.

Moreover, sources say the new Surrey store will include a focus, possibly related to business training to further grow Apple’s business-to-business market, which is reportedly under-performing in Vancouver.

Also, Apple will be holding an invite-only hiring seminar for the new Surrey store August 9 in the morning at the Sheraton Hotel Guildford, with personnel from Cupertino in attendance to assist. Apple will be moving more experienced staff to the new store which will result in further job openings at existing locations in Vancouver (Pacific Centre and Oakridge), Richmond, Burnaby and Coquitlam.

The Surrey Apple Store will mark the sixth retail location in Metro Vancouver.
