TD Canada Apple Pay on May 31 Claims Employee on Reddit [u]
TD, Scotiabank and BMO are the last three banks to support Apple Pay, with a launch coming in “several weeks”. All three recently updated their mobile iOS banking apps to note the launch was forthcoming, but for TD Canada Trust customers, that could be coming sooner than you think.
Reddit user “ludgats1986” claims Tuesday, May 31 will be the day of TD’s Apple Pay launch, after being “briefed today as a customer service rep for TD!” yesterday. Two months ago, this user had posted he/she was a funeral director at a family-run funeral home, but things could have changed and recently started working at the bank.

We previously confirmed TD employees have already started to receive training on Apple Pay.
The user has not posted any updates about the date, but if this date is indeed true, I am sure someone who knows a TD employee can confirm in the comments below. Start adding your cards to Wallet and let us know what happens.
Update: the post has since been deleted. Is this a sign the date is legit? We’ll find out next week.
Thanks @campbell_sa and everybody!

I keep wondering what the chances are the the remaining three will come online on the same day? We heard in a previous post that BMO would be June 1, but we haven’t heard any date yet from Scotiabank. I just hope Scotiabank will be May 31/June 1.
