Top Twitter Executives Leave Following Elon Musk’s Acquisition Deal
Top Twitter executives, including GM of Consumer Keyvon Beykpour, and Revenue Product Lead Bruce Falck, are leaving the company following Telsa and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s decision to acquire the social media platform (via TechCrunch).
Twitter’s VP of Consumer Products Jay Sullivan will now become the new GM of Bluebird and interim GM of Goldbird, according to a company spokesperson, who also confirmed that Twitter is currently undergoing a hiring freeze.
“Effective this week, we are pausing most hiring and backfills, except for business-critical roles. We are also pulling back on non-labor costs to ensure we are being responsible and efficient,” said the Twitter spokesperson.
After joining Twitter in July 2018, Beykpour become Twitter’s Head of Consumer Product. He then moved up to GM, Consumer in December 2021 to lead teams across Product, Engineering, Design, Research, and more.

In a series of tweets, Beykpour pointed out how Twitter’s DAU (daily active users) grew by over 87% since the second quarter of 2018, and how his team has since rolled out a variety of products.
At this point, it remains unknown what Beykpour’s departure means for all the products his team had spearheaded.
