Uber Reveals Canada’s Biggest Party Cities Ahead of Halloween 2026

London, Ontario, has once again been crowned Canada’s biggest party city, beating Toronto and Vancouver, according to Uber’s latest Nightlife Index.

Released ahead of Halloween weekend, Uber’s fifth annual report examines Canadians’ nightlife habits using aggregated, anonymized ride and Uber Eats data collected between September 30, 2025, and September 30, 2026.

London claimed the top spot for another year, followed by Winnipeg, Lethbridge, Kitchener-Waterloo and Toronto. The city also topped Uber’s Nightlife Index in 2023, maintaining its reputation as one of Canada’s most active nightlife destinations. Halifax, St. John’s, Windsor, Saskatoon and Vancouver rounded out this year’s top 10.

New Year’s Eve remains Canada’s busiest night out, with Halloween second. Halloween weekend, the holiday party season, and St. Patrick’s Day weekend round out the top five. Uber’s data also found that peak Halloween rides have shifted from 10 PM to midnight, suggesting Canadians are staying out later.

In some interesting Toronto-specific data, King West remains the city’s leading nightlife destination, followed by the Entertainment District, Harbourfront, West Queen West and Little Italy. Mississauga, Vaughan and Markham were the top GTA cities for Uber trips into Toronto. Meanwhile, Toronto led the country in Uber Black rides, while Calgary topped the rankings for Uber Premier.

Looking at Uber Eats data, we can glean some of Canadians’ late-night shopping habits. Between 10 PM and 3 AM, some of the most unexpected convenience orders included bathroom tissue, ice cubes, condoms, ibuprofen and allergy tablets. For the morning after, coffee topped the rankings, followed by hashbrowns and breakfast wraps.

The findings add to Uber’s annual reports on Canadian habits, including its 2025 Lost and Found Index, which highlighted some of the stranger items passengers left behind. Beyond the rankings, Uber is continuing its partnership with MADD Canada to encourage safer transportation choices. “A safe night out starts with a plan for how you’ll get home,” said Dawn Regan, Chief Operating Officer of MADD Canada. A Public First survey commissioned by Uber also found that 66 percent of Canadians believe rideshare services help reduce drunk driving in their communities.

Canadians planning a night out can also schedule rides ahead of time through Uber Reserve, providing another option for getting home safely.
