Freedom Mobile Launches Apple Business Chat: Support via the Messages App on iPhone

Freedom Mobile recently launched Apple Business Chat for customer support, allowing customers with an iPhone to easily chat with the company’s Customer Care team directly through the Messages app.

According to documentation seen by iPhone in Canada, Freedom Mobile says iPhone customers running iOS 13 will be able to get a chat option shown via Chat Suggest, by web-searching Freedom Mobile or going to the FreedomMobile.ca website.

Apple describes Business Chat “a powerful new way for organizations to connect with customers directly from within Messages. Using Business Chat, your customers can get answers to questions, resolve issues and complete transactions on their iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Customers can find your business and start conversations from Maps, Search and Siri.”

Once selecting the Message option, customers will be able to get support for other Freedom services through the Messages app on your iPhone, “like iMessage conversations,” explains the document.

Freedom Mobile says Apple Business Chat is only available for customer support. The document says Apple Business Chat launched on October 11, 2019. We haven’t seen this option pop up on the Freedom Mobile website yet, but let us know if you encounter Apple Business Chat. It’s a much easier way to chat with companies using Messages.

Update: You can access Apple Business Chat by heading to the Contact page on Freedom’s website, then tapping the 1-877 number, and selecting ‘Message’ (thanks Brandon). That will then jump you into the Messages app, in a branded chat:
