Freedom Mobile iPhone X, iPhone 8/8 Plus Pre-orders Launch for $0 on Contract

Shaw’s Freedom Mobile has finally landed Apple’s iPhone, with the latest iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus available for pre-order in stores, for $0 on a two-year contract.

The company’s website reads “In-store pre-order offer: get iPhone X, iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus for $0* when you sign up on any of our Big Gig plans.”

The fine print says “$0 iPhone offers available with select MyTab Boost monthly payments on certain of our Big Gig or Everywhere Canada plans with a 24 month service agreement. Offer is available on pre-orders placed by December 5, 2017 and is subject to change or cancellation without notice. Visit a Freedom Mobile retail location to place your pre-order.”

Prices are below for iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus:

While the Freedom Mobile LTE is still expanding, coverage is still limited to main cities in B.C., Alberta and Ontario, plans are aggressively priced to take on Rogers, Telus and Bell, such as $60 for 10GB of LTE data unlimited Canada and U.S. calling, including Away (Canada) data, talk and text.

Savings range from $299 up to $569 depending on the iPhone model you buy, which is definitely a step up from what Big 3 carriers are charging.

Freedom Mobile will offer iPhone SE, iPhone 6/6 Plus and iPhone 7/7 Plus, alongside iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X. Only its eastern market will have the latest iPhones (X/8/8 Plus) for now, as the company continues to re-farm its older AWS-1 spectrum to support older iPhone models. Its western market will have all iPhone models available since LTE rollouts have already happened or are underway.

Let us know if you jumped on Freedom Mobile and their iPhone X and iPhone 8/8 Plus for $0 on contract today.

This should probably say “it’s eastern market will only have the latest…”. I just preordered in Vancouver.

BS they won’t let me pre-order it with my promo everywhere 50 plan unless I switch my plan. Why does every store runs differently..I went to a Corp store yesterday and I am allowed to pre-ordered the iPhone X with a $35 MyTab Boost and no savings/discount. Now another store I must change my plan to the current one…talk about inconsistency there.

I pre-ordered an iPhone X 64g Silver today around 3pm. Pretty easy. On the $50 Big data plan I needed to pay $209 and then it’s $35 for 24 months. I had to pay $100 upfront, but that was fine.

It’s extremely annoying that your savings are almost cut in half if you want a 256GB iPhone 8 ($299 saved) rather than the 64GB variant ($569 saved). It would be nice if the savings were more consistent across the full range of iPhones.

I ordered the 64GB 8 and 256GB X on Friday for my wife and I…despite the website and every media post showing the $0 up front cost my X cost $100 up front…oh well to upgrade my wifes SE to 8 and my 6S plus to X and save about $30/month from Rogers is well worth it to me.

The 100$ is a deposit to ensure you get the phone as it it in such high demand. I was assured that the 100$ is given back upon delivery and finalizing the contract.

Awesome good to know thanks

Now if I can just get some info if and when Freedom will support a quintessential iPhone first feature….visual voicemail. I have had it nearly 10 years losing it and having to dial in is a huge step backwards for me

Sounds like it was popular, a representative on Reddit said they sold out of the iPhone X pre-orders
