Shaw FreeRange TV for iOS allows customers to watch live TV from anywhere, including on-demand content, plus supports offline downloads for select kids shows.
The latest update now brings support for Siri Shortcuts for the main screens within the app, while also brings screen support for Apple’s 2018 iPad Pro models. Once a Siri Shortcut is created, you can now use your voice to launch to the main screen of the app.
Shaw says the app also now uses your device location to make sure you’re in Canada to enable use of the app. The company says this has fixed an issue where some devices were blocked before, as their IP address was “incorrectly located outside of Canada”.
Some users use VPN services while surfing the web for privacy, but the use of a device location now still allows access.
