Shaw Mobile Offers $25/month Plan with 25GB ‘Unlimited’ Data for Top Tier Internet Customers

Shaw has announced new Shaw Mobile offerings for its Fibre+ Gig internet customers.

Starting today in B.C. and Alberta, Shaw says new and existing Fibre+ Gig internet customers can get a $25/month wireless plan with 25GB of unlimited LTE data, unlimited nationwide calling and global texting. Shaw says a plan of this nature would cost $75 from other carriers.

“As more people upgrade their internet to use video conferencing and data-heavy applications that allow them to learn, work, and connect with friends and family from home, we recognize that they are also looking for more value wherever they can,” said Paul McAleese, President, Shaw Communications, in a statement. “We kept these families in mind and turned up the wireless savings for customers who also choose our fastest internet package.”

Shaw still is offering its internet customers six free lines of unlimited talk and text and $10/1GB By The Gig option, to go with its other $45/month plan with unlimited data.

Shaw today has also launched a new marketing campaign, touting it now offers its fastest internet speeds “to more than 99 per cent of its residential and business customers across Western Canada, including all its residential customers in Alberta,” which is more than 1 million homes compared to rival Telus in both provinces.

“With Shaw’s gigabit speeds available today to more homes than any other provider in Western Canada, more families can enjoy the speed and capacity they need,” added Mr. McAleese.

Shaw’s Fibre+ Gig+ internet plans cost $115 per month on a two-year term. If you live in an area with good Freedom Mobile coverage, this might be worth considering.
