Nice but you still can't create ringtones from iTunes even though Apple will let you buy them from the store!

iPhone OS 3.1 REMOVES THE TETHERING HACK!
So if you like to use tethering you best hold off until a new hack is made for 3.1.

The tethering will probably be on apple's hit list so that telcos like roger's for example can levy tethering charges.

Ok, Maybe a stupid question. But I've updated to 3.0.1 and my itunes store (on my non jailbroken Iphone) doesn't show the ringtones….is this feature just in the USA?

You can, but you need firmware 3.1. You have 3.0.1

I checked out the thread and there are 66 pages of posts from people suffering this problem!!!! Furthermore, some started having the problem after upgrading to firmware version 3.0 or 3.01. Therefore Apple has known about this problem for a long long time.! I thought the problem just appeared with version 3.1! Doesn't anyone test anything anymore!

That's a a pretty poor response form Apple. I have a BlackBerry Bold for work, which gives me wifi access but not everyone has this option. Perhaps Apple should include a free BlackBerry with every iphone so we can have the full service we thought we were getting!

Pretty sure you've always been able to create your own ringtones. I have ever since I got mine.

This update fixed the annoying high pitched noise that my phone was making after certain system sounds! I had no problem with Wifi connection either, so I'm pretty happy with this update. The icon organization in iTunes 9 is cool too.

I've had this problem since about two weeks after installation of 3.0. This is a SERIOUS issue as it appears to be hardware related. I was lucky that I had three days left of warranty and Rogers swapped it out for me, but I'm scared to use WiFi now (I keep it off all the time!!!).

I've tried emailing this issue to iPhoneFan, because this issue MUST be brought to light. I suspect there is a systemic chipset failure that Apple wants to brush under the carpet and not admit to, as it may cause wide spread anger from the general public.

This is NOT isolated to a specific firmware or hardware. It almost appears as though the firmware is damaging the hardware as I had absolutely no problems with WiFi for almost a YEAR prior to 3.0

If you have a 500MB data plan, Yes it will.
If you have 1GB or more, then no.
100% firm.
