iOS 6.1.4 Jailbreak Running Successfully On iPhone 5
The Evasi0n jailbreak was known as the first ever untethered jailbreak solution on devices running iOS 6 and above. The exploit was then patched by Apple’s iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 firmware releases.
It was announced last week that an untethered 6.1.3 jailbreak was possible, but was not publicly available since it needed some more work. Today, we have even more good news, for those running iOS 6.1.4 on the iPhone 5.
iOS 6.1.4 was released back in May and was for iPhone 5 users only. The firmware update brought forward minor bug fixes and came in at only 11.5MB.
Developer Winocm, who was the one to achieve the untethered jailbreak on iOS 6.1.3, tweeted out a picture of iOS 6.1.4 running Cydia on an iPhone 5.
Currently iOS 6.1.3/6.1.4 jailbreak solutions are not publicly available. For those who want to jailbreak iOS 6, you have to be running iOS 6.1.2 or earlier. Posted below is a how to video on jailbreaking iOS 6.

What’s the point of jb now that there’s no installous
Uhm, since installous went away we now have at last count 5 alternatives that not only look/work better, but provide easier downloading. Where have you been? Under some rock?
which one do you use?
I don’t, but you can find them in cydia if you add the ten most popular repos to sources.
Now we know people just jailbreak to Pirate lol
Actually most people use it for the amazing tweaks available. The crap that you can do to an iPhone that is jail broken is unreal. No other platform can touch the advanced tweaks.
Better question- if I sneeze will that scene from Eagle Eye play now?
Although I do appreciate this story (as I did not know 6.1.3/6.1.4 were jailbreakable) what’s the point to actually reporting this? As mentioned by Nick, there is no public release of this particular jailbreak hence only a very select few are benefitting from this. That reminds me, has anyone heard more about Ryan Petrich’s jailbreak of an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 running on it with Cydia installed? I remember one of the bloggers posted a photo of it on here.
I used to jailbreak for activator, but those mobile substrate crashes really forced me to go with stock iOS.
