P0sixninja Claims He Has Found iOS 6.1.3 Jailbreak Exploits

Joshua Hill, aka p0sixninja, is one of the most important components in finding exploits for the recent jailbreaks. Although he has been kind of silent since his departure from the Chronic Dev Team, it looks like he is preparing is way back to the top, as he claims he has found the necessary exploits to jailbreak the freshly released iOS 6.1.3.

The announcement comes through his Twitter account, tweeting, “looks like the next jailbreak might be created entirely by me.”

The original tweet was followed up with a second tweet saying, “Evad3rs haven’t gone anywhere. I’ve just discovered all the needed exploits on my own over the last few months.”

His tweets are great news for all jailbreakers who held off updating to iOS 6.1.3, which patched the security bugs the Apple mobile platform has had — well, sort of — as the update killed the jailbreak exploits, the Evad3rs have put together to release Evasi0n.

Hill, however, did not specify a release date, leaving the question open as to whether he will wait for the next-generation iOS, or whether he will develop a p0sixninja jailbreak tool specifically for iOS 6.1.3.

Meanwhile, the hacker group behind Evad3rs have already stated they are eagerly waiting the release of iOS 7, as they have the exploits to hack that operating system as well.
