Renders Show How 2018 iPad Pro Models Might Look Like
Based on all the recent leaks and reports, some new renders of the 2018 iPad Pro models have hit the web ahead of Apple’s forthcoming special event in NYC on Oct 30th, where the Cupertino company is expected to unveil its next generation of iPads (via 9to5Mac).
Looking at the renders, the new iPad models seem to follow the same design philosophy as the iPhone X and XS i.e. slimmer bezels with an edge to edge display and lack of a physical Home button.
The iPads will also feature a Face ID camera albeit without an obvious notch. Instead, the Face ID sensors will fit into the bezels for a more seamless look. It is also believed that Face ID on the 2018 iPads will work in both portrait and landscape orientations.
Apple is not yet expected to switch to OLED displays for the iPads. In terms of dimensions, however, the screen size on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will remain unchanged whereas the small iPad Pro will now get a slight boost in display size from 10.5-inches to 11-inches.
