
Freedom Mobile Launches in 8 Cities in B.C. and Alberta with $45/10GB Promo Plan
Shaw’s Freedom Mobile has announced the expansion of its LTE network to eight more cities in B.C. and Alberta. The company added specific launch dates of August 28 on its expansion map yesterday and made it official this morning.
Today’s launch brings Freedom Mobile to Lethbridge, Alberta, joining Kamloops, Vernon, Prince Rupert, Penticton, Courtenay, Comox, and Campbell River in B.C.

Like with other Freedom Mobile launch markets, a promotion is offering $15/month off for six months on Big Gig Unlimited + Talk plans, meaning you can get a $60/10GB plan for $45 per month.
“Freedom Mobile’s expansion in 2019 means more than 1.3 million more Canadians in B.C., Alberta, and Ontario can experience affordable pricing and abundance of data,” explains the company.
Other recent launches in 2019 include expansion to Nanaimo, Cranbrook and Kelowna for example.
Freedom Mobile says their footprint now reachers 17 million Canadians, or nearly half of the country’s population.
