Fido has launched a promotional tablet data plan, offering 4GB of data for $10 per month. Normally, this plan is at $10/3GB, but an extra gigabyte is being thrown in. The plan works out to $2.50 per gigabyte, with data overages billed at $10 per gigabyte.
According to internal documentation seen by iPhone in Canada, Fido details this promo tablet plan is available for a “limited time only”, available for the following:
All tablets are available to get this $10/4GB plan, including those from Apple, Samsung and more. Fido currently offers Apple’s iPad (6th gen), iPad (7th gen) and iPad Air (10.5-inch) available on Easy Pay (no interest payments over 24 months).
Fido says all postpaid customers must have an existing voice and data plan on their account, “but do not need to complete a transaction on their voice and data line(s) to be eligible for these new plans.”
Those with voice only, data only, Fido Home Phone and prepaid plans are not eligible.
Documentation also says there is no limit per account and customers can activate multiple tablet lines with these plans.
The company says this promo tablet offer is available until further notice. Fido’s website has been updated to reflect this tablet data plan promo, showing 4GB of data for $10 per month now instead of 3GB.
Late last week, Fido was notifying some customers of a free Samsung tablet and this 4GB data plan for 24 months.
