Bell Loyalty Offering $70/20GB ‘Unlimited’ Data Plan If You Ask For It

Earlier this month, Canada’s big three carriers Bell, Rogers, and Telus debuted a matching promo plan that offers 20GB of full-speed data for $75 per month. The plan usually costs $95 per month, so savings of $20 per month can be had for a limited time.

Rogers allows the 20GB to be shared between devices for no additional charge, while Bell and Telus each charge $85 per month if customers wish to use the data on more than one device. After the first 20GB, all three carriers throttle data speeds to a rather slow 512 kbps for the remainder of the monthly billing cycle, suitable for light web browsing and messaging.

For those looking to save even more, iPhone in Canada can confirm that Bell’s loyalty department has offered at least some existing customers an additional $5 off, lowering the price to $70 per month for 20GB of data. To inquire about this offer, contact Bell by phone and ask to speak to the company’s loyalty department. As usual in these cases, your mileage may vary.

The promotional plan is eligible for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and includes unlimited Canada-wide calling and text messaging.

Bell has been attempting to win back customers with some aggressive offers as of late, including 20GB of data for $55 per month last week and even 25GB for $45 per month this week. These deals require cancelling your service in hopes of receiving an email or phone call from a special Bell department, which is not guaranteed.
