Apple Has No Plans for Larger Screen iMac in the Near Future, Says Report

9to5Mac is sharing more news from one of its sources that had provided the site with accurate details regarding Apple’s Mac Studio and Studio Display.

While Apple has confirmed its 27-inch iMac has reached end of life, 9to5Mac sources further add the company “currently has no plans to release a larger-screen iMac in the near future.”

Currently, a 24-inch iMac is available for consumers. There appears to be no plans to release a high-end iMac desktop for professionals, which would mean Pro, Max and Ultra versions of Apple Silicon won’t be making it to the 24-inch iMac.

Instead, the next 24-inch iMac refresh, said to be coming sometime in 2023, will rather feature Apple Silicon processors found in the MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro.

It seems the push for higher-end Apple Silicon processors will only be found in Apple’s 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Studio and expected Mac Pro.
