Koodo Offering $30/60GB Plan and More to Some Customers

Telus-owned Koodo looks to be offering new plan deals exclusively for select customers, available when you log into your account online.

The latest 4G plans being offered are:

  • $30/60GB
  • $35/65GB

Both plans include the usual unlimited Canada-wide calling and extras such as call display, voicemail and more. Data overages are still $130/1GB. An included perk is either premium voicemail or unlimited international SMS. Both of these perks should being included for free, really.

How to check if you’re being offered one of these promo plans? Log into your Koodo account online and head over to the option to change your plan. You’ll then see some exclusive offers like these, if you’re lucky.

Some RFD users that jumped over to the $30/60GB plan said they were on a $34/50GB and $29/30GB plans, for example. Someone also mentioned they were offered this plan when they called into the Koodo loyalty department.

Why is Koodo offering up these juicy plans that are unavailable on their website? Well, it’s just one way to retain users ahead of Black Friday deals and more in the fall, which can entice customers to leave the company and affect its churn rates, which are reported in quarterly earnings.

Yesterday, we shared how Fido was offering up a $45/150GB plan for some existing customers, likely another move to retain select users ahead of the fall.

Let us know what plans you’re seeing in your Koodo account right now, and if you’re going to jump to any of these special deals.
