Fido Offering $45/140GB Canada-US Plan to Some Customers
Rogers-owned Fido looks to be offering up some limited time offers for existing customers.
These plans dubbed, “exclusive plan for you” are showing for customers when they sign into their accounts online, and are as follows:
- $35/100GB with 1,000 US minutes and 1,000 long distance minutes
- $40/110GB with 1,000 US minutes and 1,000 long distance minutes
- $45/140GB Canada-US talk, text, data
This is according to screenshots shared by a customer on RFD. To get to these plans, click on Change Plan > Data, Talk & Text to see them highlighted. Your mileage may vary as they are not showing for everyone.
“Confirmed in the fine print and through a web chat with a Fido rep that the $45 plan includes talk, text, AND data with no roaming fees in the US,” said the RFD user.
We recently saw Rogers offering up to a $45/100GB ‘winback’ plan, but to see a $45/140GB Canada-US plan from Fido is pretty rare and a good deal indeed.

So the 140GB plan is $55 "exclusively"! for me. Gee, thanks FIDO…
I only see $35 and $40 option, not the $45 Canada-USA one on both my Fido lines. I might just call 611 to see what they can offer.
I got 160GB CAN-US for $55 offered as an “exclusive recommendation” to me.
Where are you located? Usually offered only in Ottawa and Quebec.
I mean near Ontario – Quebec border
I’m in Vancouver, first time I seen a CAN-US plan offered.
Are you able to email a screenshot by chance? ti**@************da.ca thanks!
I just sent the screenshot of the recommended plans “exclusive” to me.
That's too much data..
I could cut my home internet. That's enough data for my needs. Both on the go and at home.
I would need a few terabytes to replace my home internet, but mobile wise I could get away would less than 20gb a month.
Currently on $34 60GB/mo plan (factoring in $20/mo discount) in Toronto.
Logged in and saw this offer. Seriously considering switching as usually these kind of plans are limited to Quebec and not available in Southern Ontario. Even though I only go to the US a couple times a year the convenience is appealing.
It's interesting that the parent company Robbers is not budging…. I only get ridiculous cable offers.
If you have any shares in Robellus I would dump them now….these guys are going for broke. Good for consumers, bad for anyone holding their shares. 🙂
