Quebecor’s Videotron has added 45 new international destinations to its global roaming plan this week. The Quebec-based wireless carrier says it is the first telecom in the province to have a Canada-International mobile plan.
Subscribers to the Canada-International plan can now use their mobile service in countries such as Australia, Japan, India, Vietnam, Sweden, Iceland, and many more. Videotron customers can now travel to a total of 66 destinations worldwide with the company’s international plan and avoid roaming charges.
Videotron says customers can sign up for the 25 GB Canada-International plan at the same price of $60 per month when bundled with an Internet plan. Existing subscribers will automatically have the new destinations added to their plan at no extra cost.
The list of international destinations spans multiple continents. In Africa, the included countries are Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.
In the Americas, destinations range from the Caribbean and Central America to South America, including Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Aruba, the Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Brazil, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Chile, Easter Island, Colombia, San Andres Island, Costa Rica, Cuba, Curaçao, Dominica, the Dominican Republic, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Montserrat, Netherlands Antilles, Bonaire, Saba, Saint-Eustache, Panama, Peru, Saint-Kitts-and-Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sint Maarten (the Netherlands part of the island), Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and the United States, which includes all 50 states along with Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
In Asia, locations are China (excluding Taiwan), India, Israel, Japan, Qatar, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam.
European roaming includes Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Corsica, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, the Vatican, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, the Azores, Madeira, Romania, Spain, the Canary Islands, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, which comprises Great Britain, England, Scotland, Wales, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Jersey, and Northern Ireland.
In Oceania, the included destination is Australia.
According to Videotron, its Canada-International plan has a lifetime price guarantee, as long as customers stay on the same plan.
