Chatr to Rogers Migration Promo Offers $40/100GB Plan

Rogers-owned Chatr is offering up a promo plan right now to entice customers to migrate over to its parent company.

Chatr stores are offering up a $40/100GB plan if you switch over to Rogers. The bring your own device (BYOD) plan is the 5G Infinite Lite offering, which includes unlimited nationwide minutes and US long distance.

The $40 plan does not require pre-authorized credit card payments, but does require the $70 connection fee, albeit refunded at $5/month over 7 months, according to one user on RFD who switched to this plan.

Someone also mentioned that Chatr locations are advertising this migration plan to Rogers, such as the kiosk near Gerrard and Broadview in Toronto, Ontario. What’s the catch? You need to have been with Chatr for at least 30 days to get the migration plan.

While the plan includes 100GB of data for $40, it doesn’t include U.S. roaming data. This migration plan will turn Chatr customers from prepaid to postpaid for Rogers. With Black Friday around the corner, one should wait for the best wireless deals.

Rogers and Fido recently announced it would be ending its prepaid wireless services. The company told customers to switch to Chatr if they wanted to continue with prepaid beyond mid-December of this year.
