Apple Confirms Three New Mac Announcements This Week

mac hello 2024

John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, announced the company’s new M4 iMac refresh on Monday, in a video on the Apple YouTube channel.

Here, Ternus also confirmed we will be getting three new Mac announcements this week, with the first being today’s iMac.

“Hello and welcome to Apple Park. This is a huge week for the Mac, and this morning, we begin a series of three exciting new product announcements that will take place over the coming days,” he said. “At the centre of these announcements is Apple Intelligence,” noted Ternus.

At the end of the video, Ternus said, “join us tomorrow for another exciting Mac announcement.”

This is a rare time when Apple has confirmed new products are coming. Last week, Apple announced new Macs would be coming this week, and now the company has already confirmed new Macs are coming this week, with three total.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman previously leaked a new M4 iMac, 14-inch entry MacBook Pro, 14 and 16-inch high-end MacBook Pro and Mac mini would get M4. We should expect these upgrades to be announced on Tuesday and Wednesday. Maybe the M4 MacBook Pros on Tuesday, and the M4 Mac mini on Wednesday?

It is disappointing that Mac still chooses to be fearful of predating their $2000 display by not selling a 27" iMac; don't allow retarget and don't be worried; just give us the iMac we want!
