ChatGPT Advanced Voice for Mac and Windows Now Available

OpenAI announced its Advanced Voice mode is now available for desktop users on Mac and Windows.
The latest desktop versions of ChatGPT now support Advanced Voice mode, meaning you can have conversations with the generative AI assistant.
If you downloaded a version from Apple’s App Store, get the direct download from OpenAI’s website instead, as this latest version has Advanced Voice. You know you have Advanced Voice, represented by the ‘blue’ logo when you tap the voice to the right of the mic icon.
Advanced Voice mode debuted in Canada back in September, a feature available to paid users such as Plus and higher. The conversations you can have with the generative AI are fascinating, as the replies come back so human-like and you can interrupt at any time. This is a game-changer for real-time translation if you’re traveling.
The macOS version of ChatGPT requires macOS 14 or higher with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). The early Windows app on desktop is only available for paid users, meaning ChatGPT Plus, Team, Enterprise, and Education users.
