Apple’s M4 Pro Chip Show Impressive Benchmarks Ahead of Launch

Days before Apple’s first M4 Pro-powered Mac devices launch benchmarks for the new chipset have surfaced, showing impressive results.
This week, Apple announced the new M4 family of chipsets, powering the series of Mac mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro. These devices will arrive with a stock M4, an M4 Pro or M4 Max chipset. Ahead of the launch on November 8, Geekbench 6 benchmark results (via MacRumors) are now available to check out.
Taking a look at the highest-end M4 Pro chipset, the Geekbench 6 results show that its faster than the highest-end M2 Ultra chip when looking at multi-core CPU performance. For instance, a Mac mini stocked with an M4 Pro (14-core CPU) has garnered a 22,094 multi-core score. In comparison, Mac Studio with an M2 Ultra (24-core CPU) shows a score of 21,351.
HOLY SMOKES!!!!
The M4 Max chip benchmarks have leaked and it's the FIRST production chip in the WORLD to break the 4,000 single-core score barrier in Geekbench 6!
AND WOWWWW 26,675 multi-core! WHAAAT!!!!!!@jimmyjamesuk123 Official Geekbench listing: https://t.co/OscWvujsPz pic.twitter.com/GBRLHAYasx

Thanks to the results from Geekbench 6, it strongly appears as though the M4 Pro is the fastest Apple chipset. With record-breaking scores, the M4 Pro is outclassing some of the most impressive processors developed by the company thus far. It also makes a compelling case for anyone looking to upgrade from the M1 or M2 series.
Bear in mind that while the M4 Pro currently is the king of Apple silicon, we’re awaiting benchmarks for M4 Max. It’s likely that once these are made available, the M4 Max will usurp the M4 Pro from its position.
Preorders for the M4 Mac mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro are available now. The formal launch of each device is Friday, November 8th in Canada.
