Quebecor’s Videotron announced on Tuesday its Canada-International wireless plan just got an upgrade, adding 28 more countries to its coverage area, bringing the total to 100 destinations worldwide.
This plan is aimed at travellers, allowing them to stay connected both at home in Canada and while abroad, now in locations like Ecuador, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, and more.
The plan, priced at $75 per month (it’s $60/month if you have internet and wireless services) now offers up to 45 GB of 5G+ data, which gives users more flexibility when traveling. The plan includes 100GB of bonus data per year to use in Canada and also supports Wi-Fi calling in 120 countries.
Existing Canada-International plan subscribers will automatically get access to these new countries at no additional cost.
Videotron also offers a lifetime price guarantee for this plan, meaning customers keep the same base price for as long as they stay on it.
Back in August, this global plan expanded to 66 total destinations and now we’re seeing it increase further. The timing of this announcement comes after Rogers, Telus and Bell replied to the CRTC, sharing how they plan to lower international roaming, as per the Commission’s request. But ‘Big 3’ global roaming plans pale in comparison in what Videotron is offering here.
