Walmart appears to be offering up some migration plans for Public Mobile customers, to let them switch over to parent company Telus.

That’s according to a screenshot shared on RFD, where one Public Mobile customer was told by the Walmart employee they could switch to any Telus plan below. Here is the list we extracted for you from the screenshot shared:

  • $55/120GB 5G Essential Unlimited (Telus, Canada Wide & CAN text)
  • $70/200GB 5G+ Premium Unlimited (Telus, CAN/US/MEX/CAR* & Int text)
  • $20/PPU Voice (Telus, Canada Wide & CAN text)
  • $25/1GB 4G Essential (Telus, Canada Wide & CAN text)
  • $34/50GB 5G Essential (Telus, CAN/US & CAN/US text)
  • $40/100GB 5G Essential Unlimited (Telus, CAN/US & CAN/US text)

  • $50/120GB (Koodo, CAN/US & CAN/US text)

“Went into Walmart today and spoke to the lady working the Kiosk for the black friday deals they have right now. She told me that since I am a Public Mobile customer (I signed up last week for the $35/month 50GB CAN/USA/Mexico plan), I would be able to switch to any of the following plans in the picture attached. She gave me the okay to take this picture by the way,” said RFD user shivo979.

Why switch from Public Mobile to Telus? Human customer support is available if needed, plus for those that travel outside of North America, you can still get 2-factor codes sent to you by text message. Public Mobile does not support roaming outside of North America.

With actual Black Friday landing tomorrow, we may see better cellphone plans emerge and have the ‘Big 3’ fight over each other over the weekend, leading into Cyber Monday. Stay tuned, folks.
