Bell Quietly Raises Prices Again on Older Black Friday Plans
Another day and another price increase from our telecoms, this time from Bell.
Back in 2022, Bell debuted a Black Friday plan that cost $95/month for 100GB of 5G data, which included talk, text and data in both Canada and the USA. This plan is called the “Unlimited Share Ultimate 2-year 100US”.
According to plan change details shared by iPhone in Canada readers, this plan has increased in price twice now. The first increase was $6/month, and as of last week another $6/month increase has happened, taking the plan to $107/month.
This same Bell customer last spring also saw their Fibe internet go up, and $10/month Apple Watch plan increase to $13/month.
Bell recently reported its fourth quarter earnings which saw its net earnings increase to $505 million. The company has also recently offered voluntary severance packages to 1,200 union workers.
Rogers recently increased its connection fee to $75 for anyone activating a new plan that involves a human. Bell and Telus have yet to match that, but stay tuned.
