Apple Launches iPad 11 in Canada: Pricing and What’s New

On top of today’s M3 iPad Air update, Apple has also launched the iPad 11, now with A16 chip.

Apple says the iPad with A16 chip is now “nearly 30 percent faster” than iPad 10. Compared to iPad 9 (with A13 Bionic), the updated iPad with A16 is up to 50% faster in overall performance. Apple says iPad 11 is up to 6x faster than the best selling Android tablet.

What other Apple devices used an A16-series chip? iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models from 2022 and the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus use the A16 Bionic. Without an M-series processor, the basic iPad will not support Apple Intelligence. You can bet this kills Apple to leave out entry iPad users from it’s most hyped up AI features.

For the iPad (A16) as Apple is now calling it, the official display dimensions are now 11.0-inch instead of 10.9-inch like the iPad 10. The display remains unchanged–Apple just rounded up.

Also new is double the entry storage (finally), starting at 128GB, while 256GB remains and a new 512GB option debuts. Colours include blue, pink, yellow, and silver.

iPad with A16 (we’re going to call it iPad 11) Canadian pricing is as follows:

iPad Wi-Fi

iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular

Magic Keyboard Folio for iPad is available for $329 CAD.

As you can see, we’re seeing a $50 price drop for the 256GB versions compared to iPad 10 pricing from May 2024 (which saw a price drop for iPad 10).
