Apple Launches M3 iPad Air in Canada: Pricing and What’s New

Apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday teased “something is in the air” and is coming this week. Well, it seems one of those “air” announcements was an update to the iPad Air.

The iPad Air has been updated to now have M3 chips (instead of M2) for its 11-inch and 13-inch models. Colours remain the same along with everything else (cameras, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc), including storage options from 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB.

What else is new? The M3 iPad is about 1-2 grams lighter than its predecessor.

“iPad Air is so popular because of its unmatched combination of powerful performance, portability, and support for advanced accessories, all at an affordable price,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “For everyone from college students taking notes with Apple Pencil Pro, to travellers and content creators who need powerful productivity on the go, iPad Air with M3, Apple Intelligence, and the new Magic Keyboard take versatility and value to the next level.”

Apple also debuted a new redesigned Magic Keyboard for the M3 iPad Air, now with a function row of buttons and a larger trackpad for $379 CAD (11-inch) and $399 CAD (13-inch). Previously these prices were $399 and $419, so prices have dropped.

Here’s full Canadian pricing for the updated M3 iPad Air—pre-orders available today with a launch on March 12:

11-inch Wi-Fi

11-inch Wi-Fi + Cellular

13-inch Wi-Fi

13-inch Wi-Fi + Cellular

Prices have remained the same as last year’s M2 iPad Air, which is decent considering the current state of the Loonie. There is one price drop to note—the 512GB 13-inch has dropped by $10. You’re welcome.
