iOS 26 Beta Download Now Available for iPhone: How to Install

Apple’s WWDC 2025 keynote is over and the company unveiled iOS 26 and more, revamping the naming scheme for its operating systems by year.
iOS 26 beta is now available for download on iPhone. Here’s how to get it. On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Software Update, select the iOS 26 beta under Beta Updates, and tap Download and Install.
The download size of iOS 26 Beta 1 is pretty big, ranging from 9.5GB to 15GB, depending on device:

Before you do this, you should only install iOS 26 beta on a secondary device, since it’s beta software. You will also want to backup your iPhone data before proceeding.
Starting with iOS 16.4, released back on March 27, 2023, Apple changed the beta installation process, allowing users enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program or Developer Program to access betas directly through Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates without a manual profile. If your Apple ID is enrolled and your iPhone runs iOS 16.4 or later, you can select and install the iOS 26 beta seamlessly.
Public beta downloads will begin in July, while today’s downloads will only be for developers. The final iOS 26 release will be this fall, likely alongside new iPhones again.

Yikes, that's a pretty hefty download – hope you don't need your phone for a little while.
