Bell and Virgin Plus Resume Full Customer Support on X

Bell and Virgin Plus have restored full customer support services on X, after several days of disruption caused by technical issues.

“Quick update: Our care team is now back to being fully operational on X,” said both companies on Thursday morning. “We’re here and ready to help with any support you need.”

The issue first began on August 1, when Bell and Virgin Plus informed customers they were unable to offer support on the platform. “Due to technical issues with our social listening provider, we’re currently unable to offer Members support on Twitter/X,” they said at the time. “We’re actively exploring solutions to continue serving you here, but in the meantime, please reach out via Facebook or chat with us live on our website.”

A day later, the companies said they had found a workaround. “We’ve been able to find a temporary solution that will allow us to continue responding to Member support inquiries on X/Twitter,” they said on August 2. “But please expect a delay as we work to get back to full functionality.”

Bell told iPhone in Canada in a statement at the time the outage was a “temporary situation” and they were working on finding a fix, nothing more. As of today, Bell and Virgin Plus support operations on X have returned to normal.

Earlier today, BCE Inc., parent company of Bell, posted its Q2 earnings seeing increased profits but sluggish growth in its wireless sector.
