Freedom Mobile’s Newest $44 Student Plan Includes Roaming
Freedom Mobile recently launched a back to school deal that’s only available for students, which is a lower cost version of its 100GB back to school deal from late July.
The company’s website is advertising a $44/100GB Canada-US-Mexico plan only for students (after autopay). You can use your talk, text, and data no matter where you are in North America. You also get Roam Beyond with 15GB of data.
Now, there’s always a catch as the $44 price (which is $5 cheaper than the back to school deals available for everyone) is only available for $18 months. After that, it will go back up to $49 per month.
The fine print says this $44/100GB plan is for “select post secondary institutions only.”
So how can regular customers that aren’t students get this offer? It’s possible if you have multiple lines on your account. Freedom says your third line can get the same $44/100GB Canada-US-Mexico plan.
To get the Freedom Mobile student deal, you must be enrolled at an eligible post-secondary school. The Freedom Mobile website asks you to submit a form and the code will be one to your school email address, if you are eligible. Bring that code and your student ID to a Freedom Mobile store to activate the plan.

nice way to alienate your existing customers that are paying more… way to go Freedom!
I was with Freedom but Public Mobile had the same plans without all the discounts and limited time deals. They should make it easy and have the price without making your invoice a mess with deductions.
