Apple TV+ Gets a Price Hike in Canada—What Changed
Apple has just raised the monthly price of its streaming service, Apple TV+, in Canada.
A subscription now costs $14.99 CAD per month, up from the previous $12.99 price. The change is already live on Apple.ca and that’s a 15% increase.
The price jump was first reported by 9to5Mac, which shared a statement from Apple, that said its originals have increased on the service since launch and that Apple One is the “the easiest way to enjoy all of Apple’s subscription services in one plan at the best value.”
Annual Apple TV+ subscriptions and Apple One bundle pricing remain unchanged. Apple One starts at $22.95 CAD per month and combines Apple TV+ with up to five other services. Students subscribed to the Apple Music Student Plan still receive Apple TV+ at no extra cost, while new device buyers can redeem three free months. A seven-day free trial is available to new subscribers.
Existing monthly subscribers in Canada will see the higher rate applied 30 days after their next renewal date.
The last time Apple increased the price of Apple TV+ in Canada was in October 2023 from $8.99 to $12.99.
What do you think about this price increase for Apple TV+? Clearly Apple is pushing more people towards an Apple One bundle here, in yet another way to increase its services revenue.

Price grab once again! Reevaluating subscription services again!
Frankly, streaming services are out of control. I only subscribe to any of them when they have promotion, then I unsubscribe.
it is probably the cdn dollar being so low against the us dollar. anyway, just buy apple one. it is worth the cost.
I guess the US dollar against the US dollar is why they increased it for US customers as well.
I'm on student plan so it's still free, for now.
SureSure you if you want to, but I don't even want to buy it for the Blue Jays games that they advertise for Friday nights once every month or so. I don't have apple music. I don't use Apple to devices anymore. It's not worth it to me to use a platform from Apple that increases $6 over the last 4 years. It's ridiculous
Still cheaper than the USA once the exchange is factored. Identical content libraries as well.
My advice would be to subscribe to Apple One (Individual or Family depending on your circumstances) as the cost of that plan is completely worth it if you and/or your family want more than any two of Apple’s subscription services.
