Sony has launched its new Icon Blue Special Edition DualSense controller for PlayStation 5. In Canada, the stunning blue controller is available exclusively through Walmart.
Announced earlier this month, the Icon Blue Special Edition DualSense is made to celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary. Reflecting on the company’s legacy, the new controller’s colourway is inspired by the PlayStation logo and its use of a blue hue.
As PlayStation revealed earlier, the controller features a unique pattern as part of its design. The PlayStation face button icons can be found printed across the controller. On the rear side of the controller, Sony printed Katakana characters spelling “Pureisutēshon”, reflecting the PlayStation brand’s name in Japanese.
In Canada, the controller is being sold by Walmart. As the only retailer participating in the sale of the controller, fans can head to Walmart’s website or visit a nearby store to find one. The controller is available for $109.99. The Icon Blue Special Edition DualSense is also available in the US. Next week, availability will expand to Mexico and Chile.
In other controller news, PlayStation’s God of War 20th anniversary DualSense controller is also shipping this week. The God of War-inspired controller is available through all major retailers and is inspired by one of PlayStation’s biggest franchises.
