Fido and Koodo Are Quietly Updating Black Friday Plans: What Changed
When we told you Koodo and Virgin started to revamp plans one week before Black Friday, we knew Fido was set to follow with their own changes in response, and here we are.
Below are Fido’s latest updated plans as we head into Black Friday:
- $40/50GB (new) with 10GB data bonus and $0 hotspot promo
- $45/20GB (new; was 10GB) with 10GB data bonus and $0 hotspot promo
- $45/70GB (was $50/40GB) with 10GB data bonus and $0 hotspot promo
- $30 talk and text
For starters, Fido has eliminated the $55/60GB plan. The entry $45/10GB plan now has 20GB, while a new $40 plan with 50GB is available. The $50 plan is now $45 with 70GB data, a 30GB increase.
Here are the changes from Koodo’s plans below:
- $40/50GB
- $45/70GB ($5 price drop; was $50)
- $75/100GB
- $20 starter plan (was $30); $15/250MB; $35/3GB
Koodo has dropped the price of its 70GB plan to match Fido, while its talk and text starter plan is now $20.
As for Virgin Plus? Nothing has changed as just two lonely plans are available with a max of 60GB:
- $40/40GB + 10GB bonus data
- $45/60GB + 10GB bonus data
- $30 talk and text; $19/250MB; $39/3GB
As we approach the actual Black Friday on November 28, get ready for even more changes, folks.
