Freedom Mobile Cyber Monday Deal Offers 1 Month Free Service

Quebecor’s Freedom Mobile is offering up one month free service for a select plan as part of its Cyber Monday deals.

We’re not seeing any extra data or price drops for Freedom Mobile’s Cyber Monday, only to see 1 month free service added to the $39/70GB plan below, that’s only available today:

  • $34/10GB + 1GB Roam Beyond
  • $39/70GB + 10GB Roam Beyond (1 month free)
  • $49/100GB + 15GB Roam Beyond
  • $59/150GB + 25GB Roam Beyond
  • $69/200GB + 30GB Roam Beyond
  • $79/250GB + 35GB Roam Beyond

For Black Friday, Freedom Mobile ramped up this $39 plan to 70GB of data (up from 60GB). Now it’s getting 1 month of free service, which is pretty lukewarm. But this plan does include 10GB of Roam Beyond data, that other brands don’t include at this pricepoint.

You left out a pretty important detail. The 10GB Roam Beyond is a one time allotment. It's these kind of dirty tricks that have turned me off from Freedom.

Freedom's Roam Beyond approach in general is now grossly outdated as the big 3 now offer packages where you can use your entire data bucket in the approved list of countries. That's how it should be done.

Freedom needs to go back to the drawing board with its plans.

Yesterday at the Freedom store in Kelowna, they were offering the first 6 months for $20 on the $34 plan. When I checked at the Walmart in Penticton, they were offering the first 3 months for free with the $34 deal, however it's pointless to get the deal at Walmart since they can't waive the $45 activation fee which negates the free deal in the first place.

Sounding like a broken record but Freedom needed to offer something decent at the $35 or less. The past 2 years they had lowered the bar but not this year. I am holding onto my $35 plan that I had gotten last Black Friday.
