Ted Lasso Season 4 Eyes Summer Premiere Window on Apple TV

Apple is eyeing a summer 2026 release for the long-awaited fourth season of Ted LassoTo accompany the announcement, Apple has also released a small collection of stills from the upcoming season, as first reported by Deadline

Season 4 of the beloved Apple TV series Ted Lasso picks up after the conclusion of the third season, which saw the titular character, played by Jason Sudeikis, returning to Kansas. However, it isn’t until long before Hannah Waddingham’s Rebecca arrives to recruit Ted to coach a second division women’s football team for Richmond. Thus, Ted is set to return to Richmond, alongside returning Coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt.

The fourth season of Ted Lasso reunites original cast members Sudekis, Waddingham, and Hunt with Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift. It’s currently unknown whether other cast members, such as Nick Mohammed, Phil Dunster, and Toheeb Jimoh, will also reprise their roles.

Ted Lasso Season 4 sees a new assistant coach joining the fray, played by Tanya Reynolds. Grant Feely has been cast as Ted’s son, Henry, after the role had been recast ahead of shooting the new season. Reynolds and Feely are joined by other newcomers, including Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, and Abbie Hern.

Goldstein continues to serve as writer and executive producer on the series alongside Leann Bowen. Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh are writing and producing the new season. Ted Lasso was originally developed using the preexisting format and characters from NBC Sports by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Hunt and Joe Kelly.

Ted Lasso has become one of the tentpole shows for Apple TV. Over the years, the series has amassed 61 Emmy nominations and 13 wins. Although no specific release date is set, the new season will likely draw in quite an audience and critical acclaim.

Apple TV is available in Canada for $14.99 per month.
