Freedom Mobile’s 250GB Global Plan is Still Here, But With a $10 Price Hike

Freedom Mobile’s popular 250GB global roaming plan is sticking around, after officially expiring yesterday at its $40/month promo price.

The carrier’s website was updated today to say the 250GB plan with 50GB of global roaming data is still going to be here for a “limited time”, but it comes with a $10 price increase to $50/month.

Other plans have not changed, besides this price increase on the promo plan. Here are Freedom Mobile’s plans as of March 17:

  • $35/10GB + 1GB Roam Beyond
  • $40/60GB + 5GB Roam Beyond
  • $50/250GB (was $40) + 50GB Roam Beyond
  • $50/100GB + 10GB Roam Beyond
  • $60/150GB + 20GB Roam Beyond
  • $70/200GB + 30GB Roam Beyond

The $50/250GB global roaming plan is available for new customers and existing customers too (you can just call in or message to change to the new plan. If you face resistance, hang up and try another agent). Despite the price increase, the $50 global roaming plan is still cheaper than what you would pay from Rogers, Telus and Bell, at $85 to $95 per month.
