Public Mobile Tweaks 5G Plans Again: Current Promos Set to End March 25
Telus prepaid brand Public Mobile has added an end date to its current ‘promo’ plan pricing, while tweaking the plans as well.
One week ago Public Mobile brought back its promo plans to try to match Freedom Mobile’s global plan. Now, we’re seeing an end date on its current 5G plan lineup, listed as March 25, 2026.
Here are the current plans:
- $35/80GB Canada + 250 International minutes
- $40/100GB Canada-US-Mexico + 500 International minutes
- $50/150GB Canada-US-Mexico + 1000 International minutes
- $20/500MB 4G
- $23/2GB 4G
- $26/5GB 4G
- $30/15GB 4G
The $35 plan now has 80GB, up from 50GB. The $40 and $50 plans have gone back to 100GB and 150GB data amounts. Across the board, international minutes have been cut in half to 250, 500 and 1,000, respectively. What’s the next promo plan period going to be? Maybe Easter promos are coming. On to the next one…

Public needs global roaming to be competitive with Freedom at similar price points.
Exactly. Wifi calling outside Canada and global roaming are what truly makes Freedom stand out and are what lead me to leave PM after 7 years.
