Rogers Offers Fans Chance to Become Blue Jays Owner for 50th Season

Rogers is marking the Toronto Blue Jays’ 50th season by launching a contest that lets fans act as the team owner for a day. The Game Day Owner program is one of several giveaways planned for the milestone year, including thousands of free tickets and merchandise for customers.
The ownership contest is open to fans across Canada, with six winners chosen to experience a home game between April and September. Winners will get behind-the-scenes access to the clubhouse and the Sportsnet studios, a meet-and-greet with a player, and the chance to pitch their own ideas for the franchise to team executives. The prize also includes travel, a stay at the Rogers Centre hotel, and a private shopping spree at the Jays Shop.
Beyond the ownership experience, Rogers plans to give away 5,000 tickets to its customers throughout the season. This starts with 500 tickets for the home opener on March 27. Fans can look for details on the Rogers Instagram page, where an online contest will launch tomorrow at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET on March 25. Additional in-person ticket giveaway details will be shared on the morning of the home opener.
A new Canada’s Winning Inning promo is also being introduced for the anniversary year. During certain innings of the Sportsnet broadcast, customers can text a specific number for a chance to win signed items and VIP trips if a Blue Jays player gets a hit. Fans attending games at the stadium during these designated innings can also win seat upgrades and discounts on food and gear.
The Blue Jays had a thrilling and heartbreaking Game 7 loss last year in the World Series to the L.A. Dodgers. This year’s team has some major changes, with Bo Bichette now on the NY Mets and Chris Bassitt, Ty France, Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Seranthony Dominguez all gone. But Dylan Cease has been added, along with Kazuma Okamoto, Tyler Rogers and Cody Ponce.
