Rogers Debuts New Xfinity Student Internet Plans Starting at $70

Rogers Xfinity Student Plans

Rogers has expanded its internet offerings with a new set of Rogers Xfinity packages designed specifically for students. These plans are available month-to-month and with 24-month terms. They come just as students in post-secondary are finishing up their current school years and new students are planning for the next year.

The new student lineup covers a wide range of speeds, from basic 50 Mbps connections to high-capacity 2 Gbps fibre options.

Month-to-Month Student Plan Details

The following rates are available on a monthly basis and include a $5 discount for customers who enrol in Auto-Pay (download/upload speeds), based on eligible addresses where service and discounts are available:

  • Starter 50: 50/50 Mbps for $70.00/month
  • Starter 100: 100/100 Mbps for $85.00/month
  • Essentials 300: 300/200 Mbps for $100.00/month
  • Popular 500: 500/200 Mbps for $110.00/month
  • Ultimate 1G: 1 Gbps / 200 Mbps for $120.00/month
  • Premier 1.5G: 1.5 Gbps / 200 Mbps for $105.00/month
  • Premier 2G: 2 Gbps / 200 Mbps for $110.00/month

Online Offers and Additional Hardware

Students who sign up for these Rogers Xfinity packages via the web can have the standard $39 setup fee waived. The plans also include access to the latest WiFi 7 hardware where the technology is supported.

In addition to the standard cable and fibre options, a 5G Home Internet plan is available for $60 per month, which comes with a 30-day trial.

For the savviest students, the best strategy is to cross-shop Telus and Bell. Compare the latest regional offers and don’t be afraid to leverage one provider’s pricing against the other to secure a more competitive rate.
