Bell Overtakes Rogers and Telus as Canada’s Top Telecom Brand

Bell has taken the top spot among Canadian telecom brands this year. According to the 2026 Brand Finance Telecoms 150 and Global 500 rankings, the Montreal-based carrier jumped from 20th place globally in 2025 to 15th in 2026, putting it ahead of its domestic rivals.

Telus slipped one spot, dropping from 15th to 16th, while Rogers had a strong showing, climbing from 23rd last year to 18th. All ‘Big 3’ Canadian carriers are now clustered in the global top 20, which speaks to how competitive the market has gotten at that level. As for Quebecor? Its wireless carrier Videotron ranked 81st this year, moving up five spots. Cogeco came in at 120th, down three spots, and rounded out the Canadian carriers in the total list of 150 global telecoms ranked.

Bell points to its 5G and fibre buildout as the main drivers behind the brand’s growth, along with a push into AI tools aimed at business customers.

“Being recognized as Canada’s most valuable telecoms brand is an affirmation of the work our team does every day,” said Devorah Lithwick, SVP and Chief Brand Officer at Bell, in a statement to iPhone in Canada on Wednesday. “From investing in the country’s best networks to delivering innovative services to businesses, our teams are focussed on ensuring Canadians have what they need to thrive in a digital world. This ranking shows that our approach is making a real difference.”

Earlier this week, Bell has made some changes to its wireless plans, reversing course on SD video streaming on select plans and also adding more roaming data caps.
