Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026: Everything Announced, Including Physint, Call of Duty and More

Xbox brought a packed showcase to Tokyo Game Show 2026, featuring new looks at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, Persona 4 Revival and news from Hideo Kojima’s Physint.

Microsoft’s TGS presentation included 17 gameplay reveals and announcements from Xbox and developers across Asia and elsewhere. Arguably the biggest surprise came at the end, when Kojima appeared with updates on both OD – KNOCK and Physint.

Kojima Productions revealed that It and Nosferatu actor Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role in Physint, alongside Charlee Fraser. The announcement comes just one week after Xbox confirmed it will publish Physint following PlayStation’s unexpected decision to leave the project earlier this year. Although Kojima did not reveal any updates on when OD – KNOCK and Physint will release, he confirmed that development progress remained steady.

Activision also debuted a new campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The story finds Captain Price on the run as war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula. It was revealed that famed actor Mads Mikkelsen will be playing a ruthless villain under the guise of “Archer” in the game. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches October 23, while players who pre-order either digital edition can access the campaign beginning October 16.

Sega provided another look at Crazy Taxi: World Tour, confirming Japan as a playable location. The game will feature both historic neighbourhoods and modern city streets when it launches in 2027. Xbox previously revealed World Tour during its June showcase.

Atlus introduced Naoto Shirogane in a new Persona 4 Revival trailer. The remake launches February 18, 2027 for Xbox Series X|S, PC and cloud, and will be included with Game Pass. Elsewhere, Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember showed a new boss fight ahead of its March 4, 2027 release, while Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement received another gameplay trailer. Once Human is also coming to Xbox Series X|S on October 22 alongside its Isles of Abyss expansion, with the game included through Game Pass.

Microsoft even squeezed in a surprise release. Roguelite Shape of Dreams is available on Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass today.

The showcase coincided with the Tokyo stop of Microsoft’s ongoing 25th anniversary FanFest tour, which heads to Toronto on November 6.
